United World International welcomes a new expert: Sergio Rodríguez Gelfenstein, whose articles UWI has been published irregularly, will contribute from now on regularly and weekly.
Rodríguez Gelfenstein is a Venezuelan expert and advisor of international politics. He graduated from the Central University of Venezuela’s international relations department and received his doctoral degree in the Universidad de Los Andes (ULA).
Rodríguez has published analysis and articles in various newspapers and magazines in different Latin American countries from Puerto Rico, Bolivia, Chile, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Argentina and also in Spain.
He was coordinator of international relations of the government of the state of Chiapas, Mexico and Director of International Relations of the Presidency of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
He also worked as advisor on international politics for TeleSur and was ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Nicaragua.
As professor at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Rodríguez Gelfenstein has published a number of books as editor and co-author. He has also been teaching at the University of Sciences in Chiapas and provided postgraduate courses in the Institute of High Level Diplomatic Studies Pedro Gual in Venezuela.
He is author of 17 different books, which have been published in various countries in Latin America. Among these are titles such as: China in the 21st Century: the Awakening of a Giant; Balance of Power: The reasons for a Equilibrium in the International System; The NATO against the World: The Conflict in Ukraine as Expression of a Change of Epoch; The Majestic March: The meeting of Bolívar and San Martín in Guayaquil; From Bush to Trump: From the War against Terror to the ‘Commercial War’.
He focuses on theories and relations of imperialism, Latin American politics and integration, multipolarity and the rise of Eurasia.
