The international conference entitled “The Alliance to Prevent a Great War,” organized by the World Civilizations Initiative Research Center, was held at the Meyra Palace Hotel in Ankara on 18–19 July 2026.
The conference, which featured presentations by speakers from Azerbaijan, Belarus, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Italy, Japan, Russia, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and the United States, was attended by approximately 200 distinguished invited guests. Ministers, members of parliament, ambassadors, retired generals, scholars, politicians, diplomats, military officers, and experts examined the question of the “Alliance to Prevent a Great War” from a wide range of perspectives. The views on which a broad consensus emerged may be summarized as follows:

- The threats that could lead to a Great War originate from the United States and Israel. The US–Israeli attack on Iran, NATO’s military build-up in Ukraine and its deployment of proxy forces against Russia, Israel’s genocide in Gaza and its attacks on Lebanon are regional wars that carry within them the danger of triggering a Great War.
- NATO, as an instrument of US hegemony, poses a threat to world peace. The countries targeted by NATO, Russia foremost among them, do not constitute a threat to Europe. What would serve global security is not the reorganization of NATO, but its abolition. European countries would thereby also be freed from the new and onerous burdens imposed by the United States on NATO members.
- The process through which the center of gravity of productive power is shifting from West to East and from North to South continues without interruption, while the proportional gap is widening rapidly. In parallel with this development, the global dominance of the US dollar as a medium of exchange is also weakening. The principal instrument remaining at the disposal of the United States in its attempt to re-establish its global hegemony has been reduced to its destructive power.
- No power launches a war that it knows from the outset it cannot win. The only way to prevent the United States from provoking a Great War in an attempt to become the master of the world once again is to create an international force powerful enough to deter it.
- Under present conditions, the backbone of such a force would be an alliance among Türkiye, Russia, China and Iran. For this partnership to achieve an effective level of deterrence, it is not sufficient merely to develop bilateral and multilateral cooperation among these countries. The partnership to be established must take the form of a COMPREHENSIVE STRATEGIC ALLIANCE encompassing other fields that contribute to security.
- In addition to reflecting an objectively necessary requirement for all four countries, this strategic alliance would serve as a solid foundation for opening the way to other regional partnerships and alliances dedicated to preserving global security. It would also provide an environment that facilitates the consolidation of the domestic fronts of the Developing World and strengthens solidarity among peoples.
- One of the factors that undoubtedly prevented the United States and Israel from resorting to nuclear weapons in their attacks against Iran was the nuclear umbrella provided by Iran’s partnership with Russia and China. Had a strategic alliance among Türkiye, Russia, China and Iran already been established, it would have made a US–Israeli attack on Iran impossible from the outset.
- Security in the world represents a need not only for the countries and peoples placed in the crosshairs of the United States and NATO, but for all humanity, including the Atlantic countries. An alliance among Türkiye, Russia, China and Iran would also provide a solid foundation for the formation of a FRONT OF HUMANITY against a Great War.
- The process of collapse within the Atlantic System has also led to the degeneration of all the values that Western civilization contributed to humanity during its period of ascendancy. The Emerging World, born from within the World of the Oppressed and centered in Asia, also represents the foundation upon which a new civilization longed for by all humanity is rising. Preventing a Great War that would obstruct the development of this civilization would avert the writing of a new and dark chapter in history.
- The speakers who participated in the Alliance to Prevent a Great War Conference from Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas represented a broad political spectrum. Despite the general differences in their views and approaches, the commonality of their aspirations justifies describing this conference as a Eurasian Summit held in response to the NATO Summit convened in Ankara on 7–8 July 2026.
Respectfully submitted to the international community.
