Israel became the target of Yemeni missiles on the morning of March 28. On the 29th day of the war, the Ansarullah-led Yemeni operation announced their involvement in the conflict following the strike. Now, a new and challenging front has opened for the US and Israel. Rayan Al-Aziz, an official from the Ansarullah Press Office, stated that military operations beyond the imagination of the US and Israel would be carried out.
Support began with public demonstrations
The Yemeni official stated that support for Iran had begun in various fields since the start of the war. Emphasizing that full support was given to Iran, particularly through media and public demonstrations, Al-Aziz used the following expressions:
“From the first day of the American-Israeli coalition’s aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Yemen’s position has been to stand in solidarity with Iran, to be by its side, and to take a stand against this aggression. Yemen’s support process began with public demonstrations attended by millions in the squares; subsequently, a practical stance was demonstrated alongside the Islamic Republic of Iran through statements from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sana’a, the Supreme Political Council, the Ansarullah Political Bureau, and all other relevant official institutions.”
The people gave full authority to the government
“The fundamental stance of the Yemeni Armed Forces is to keep ‘hands on the trigger,’ as emphasized in previous speeches by Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi,” Al-Aziz said, adding: “He stated that the Yemeni army is ready for any kind of military operation to support the Iranian people. The enemy wants the war to spread to all fronts of the ‘Axis of Resistance’; we are ready to be a military part of this war.”
Stating that the public has authorized the government, Al-Aziz said:
“The demonstrators who took to the squares yesterday have given full authority to our leadership. In this direction, the Yemeni Armed Forces launched the first phase of military intervention with a ballistic missile operation targeting the depths of the occupied Palestinian territories—specifically, the inner parts of Israel. This operation was carried out with numerous supersonic ballistic missiles hitting sensitive military targets deep within Israel.”
‘Operations will also include Bab-el-Mandeb’
Al-Aziz also gave clues as to how the operations would take shape. The Yemeni official used the following statements: “In the upcoming period, Yemen’s military intervention will increase further to support the free peoples in Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, and Iraq. All our military options are on the table against the project Israel is trying to expand under the name ‘New Middle East.’ Our armed forces in Sana’a are preparing great military surprises that the American-Israeli alliance cannot even imagine. These surprises will not be limited to Israeli territory; they will expand to cover American interests in the region and maritime operations in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.”
‘We are in full coordination with Tehran’
Stating that Bab-el-Mandeb is one of the most critical strategic capabilities in the hands of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Al-Aziz said:
“If the requirements of the military field necessitate it, we will use this strait to punish the enemy and disrupt their plans. There is full coordination between Sana’a and Tehran on this matter. If the course of the war requires an intervention via Bab-el-Mandeb, Yemen will not only target ships cooperating with the occupiers but will take much broader steps if necessary. Because we are in an existential war, an inevitable war. We must mobilize all the means at our disposal for this cause. Yemen’s message to Tehran is clear: ‘You are not alone, we are with you, and we will never leave you.'”
