On the 26th and 27th of February, the Russian Federation hosted over 500 participants from more than 130 countries in Moscow to challenge Western hegemony in the Second Congress of the International Russophile Movement (MIR).
UWI documents in the following days the speeches given by Turkish delegates in the Congress. Today we start with the message delivered by Ethem Sancak, Deputy Chairman of the Vatan Party and Head of the International Relations Bureau. Sancak was elected to the Board of Directors of the International Russophile Movement during the congress.
Since yesterday, we have been discussing issues of the collective West and multipolarity. But we must understand that multipolarity can only be achieved through the creation of a collective East. In other words, without a common strategy for the collective East, it is impossible to fully build multipolarity.
What is the overall strategy? The general strategy is joint resistance to the attacks of the collective West on all fronts. Therefore, the Cyprus issue, the Syrian issue, the Ukrainian issue, the Taiwan issue, the Palestinian issue are the concern of not only one country, but of all of us.
For example, when Türkiye opposes Atlantic plans in the Eastern Mediterranean, in Cyprus, it is not only protecting its own interests. Therefore, the Cyprus issue or the fight of the Turkish army against the US-backed PKK terrorism is not only the matter of the Turkish people. Türkiye’s disruption of Western plans will strengthen supporters of a multipolar world on other fronts as well.
Is the Russian army fighting only for its people in a special military operation? Of course not. If Russia wins, Türkiye wins, China wins, Palestine wins.
Likewise, the Palestinian people must not stand alone in the face of Israeli aggression. The victory of Palestine is the victory of Türkiye, Russia, India and Pakistan…
On the Taiwan issue, China is also fighting on the front of all humanity for all of us. Or Qasem Soleimani – a martyr not only for Iran, but for all of us.
We cannot remain indifferent to the problems of other countries. If Türkiye sides with Russia on the Ukrainian front, this does not mean that it will do it a favor, but will protect its own interests. Russia will not be doing Türkiye a favor if, together with the Turkish army, it clears Syria of the PKK, and it will stand up for Russia’s security interests.
We must act with a common strategy to defeat the Atlantic plans on all fronts. We are Russophiles and Turkophiles, friends of China, fighters for Palestine and heirs of Chavez, comrades of Fidel, comrades-in-arms of Patrice Lumumba.
We, the Turkish delegation, promise to you. Türkiye can no longer tolerate the indecisive policies of the current government, which is not aware of Türkiye’s real national interests. Those who surrendered to the US can no longer rule Türkiye. But at the same time, the so-called pro-American opposition cannot solve Türkiye’s problems. The Vatan Party makes a promise to you, the delegates. Our cause is just, the enemy will be defeated, victory will be ours, we will create a truly national government in Türkiye.
